Photos: New Adult UK Covers For ‘The Hunger Games’ Trilogy Begin Shipping
As we told you previously, the UK editions of The Hunger Games Trilogy are getting a face lift, with new adult versions of the covers. The books are due to start shipping on December 1st, but one of our readers Andrej was fortunate enough to get their shipment from Amazon early and sent us these fantastic photos. They look stunning! Hmm how much is shipping from the UK?
Curious what the previous UK covers have looked like? You can check them out here.
Thank you so much To Andrej for sending us the photos!

I would definitely consider buying these if they hadn’t put Stephanie Meyer’s quote on them. I’ll stick with my American, Twilight-free books, thank you very much!

My US Hardcover copies of Catching Fire and Mockingjay both have quotes from Stephenie Meyer on the back of the dust jacket. Along with others as well.

I have a trilogy boxset and none of them have the quote on them. I had the individual hardcover copies back before the boxset came out, but I gave them all out. I can’t remember if they had the quote or not, but they probably did.

In a way I agree – but they left the front covers blank and elegant (those “soon to be a major motion picture” thingies are just stickers that peel of easily), and at least the didn’t put something like “Stephanie Meyer – author of Twilight” on the back. So it’s a fairly minor issue IMHO.

I think that Stephanie Meyers is a very well known author by the YA audience they want to reach. Millions of people starting to read The Hunger Games because of a quote would be not bad! My question is will there ever be any renditions of the book in the US or other countries?w

We will receive a movie edition of The Hunger Games in the spring. It will have a cover featuring a cover that ties into the film, possible a picture of the cast or a movie poster.

Who cares if Stephenie Meyer’s quotes are on the back? I don’t. Look, it’s okay and perfectly fine not to like Twilight or even its author, but going as far as not liking a new Hunger Games book cover just because a quote of hers is featured on the back? That’s silly.
I actually like the covers — and for those who haven’t read the books before in the UK can imagine what the arenas or the Capitol may look like. I love how they did each cover’s mockingjay symbol seemingly different with a black background. I don’t know about you, but I love alternative covers!
