Yesterday, we learned that China Glaze had officially announced the names a colors of it’s movie tie-in line of nail polish for The Hunger Games. Today in movie merchandise news, we’ve got Hunger Games water from h2o:
Refreshing Ideas, LLC, producers of the earth-friendly “h2O” natural spring water in an award-winning, renewable, aseptic package, have partnered with The Hunger Games, to be the official water of what will undoubtedly be one of the blockbuster movies for 2012.
Fans can pre-order the distinct and exclusively branded h2O Hunger Games product online @Amazon, and h2O also has plans to host special giveaways and offers for The Hunger Games fans on h2O’s Facebook page.
While this seems like another bizarre product to brand with the Hunger Games emblem, we are just relieved that it’s something at least present in the novels. Water plays a big role in Katniss’ early days in the Arena, and whose to say that, had she not found the stream, we wouldn’t have seen one of these tied to the bottom of a silver parachute. (Ok– maybe that’s pushing it a little– but at least we don’t have to picture Katniss chugging Mountain Dew… yet.)
What do you think about Hunger Games water? Let us know in the comments!

i agree, and it’s a total waste of money. it’s the same thing as me getting a regular water bottle and putting a picture of a mockingjay on it. it’s not like the water tastes any different.

I think we all have to be a little expecting of this. Honestly, some people will eat this kind of merchendise up ( no pun intended ) while others will label it stupid. Lionsgate and H20 are hoping that the mojority would love to buy some mockingjay brand water. I don’t think they are going crazy capitol just by this… if anything the nail polish was more like that. But your post made me laugh, DWTC, I agree. At least its not mountin dew juuuust yet, haha. ( Not that I have a mega problem about the nail polish pitch, I just won’t be buying it, in my opinion. At least make it for the districts, not after the capitol who watches children kill eachother to death for entertainment)

I think they could turn this into something positive. There are place all over the world where clean water is so hard to come by. If they could donate a bottle for every bottle sold that would be something all the fans of the books can get behind. I don’t think that would happen but it would be amazing!

That’s something I would go for it’s a really good idea
But you’re right, i doubt that would happen but let’s stay optimistic

OMG I can see the commercial already. Its Jennifer Lawrence looking at the camera and saying, “I’d take any water in the Hunger Games, but if I could choose, I’d choose H2O.” *Pours water, then looks at camera* “May the odds be ever in your favor.”

Personally, I find this a very stupid idea! Of cource, it doesn’t matter now but common people! Doesn’t it seem like we’re taking away the beauty of the story and writting with all these cheap promotional items?!?!
BTW…. I am a totally different Madison from the 2 above!
