Josh Hutcherson continues to talk to the media today about his thoughts on Gary Ross and Catching Fire. Earlier Josh told THR that Ross is the “only one that could ever direct the second one,” And now he’s expanded on that statement while speaking with ComingSoon.net
“There is not much doubt in my mind he’ll be doing it. I think so. I don’t think there’s a chance he won’t,” Hutcherson told us. The actor, who plays Peeta, added: “He killed the first one, absolutely knocked it out of the park. Everyone loved him. Myself, Jennifer and the others loved him. I couldn’t imagine making another movie without him, so that’s what I have to say about that…” [smiles].
We totally agree with Josh’s assessment of Gary’s work on The Hunger Games and we definitely cannot imagine Catching Fire being done without him either. Now let’s hope Gary and Lionsate feel the same way. *fingers crossed*
