Next week on June 5th Lenny Kravitz (Cinna) will celebrate the 21st Anniversary of his 1991 album Mama Said with a Deluxe Edition re-release. In addition to the original line-up, 21 bonus tracks will be included, among them 15 previously unreleased recordings from Lenny’s personal archives.
From the press release:
By 1991, a good part of the world was already under the spell of Lenny Kravitz’s psychedelic brand of rock by way of his 1989 debut Let Love Rule. Now Kravitz was back with a groundbreaking album, Mama Said, a collection that took the listener on a musical journey filled with brutally honest recounts of love, failures, hope, spirituality and acceptance. It notably featured a resounding 7 singles, including several definitive Kravitz classics such as “Always On The Run” and “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over.”
Among the Deluxe Edition’s previously unreleased recordings are several unfinished songs from the Mama Said album sessions, as well as home demos from late in the Let Love Rule era, which would later be finished for inclusion on Mama Said. Others, including “Riding On The Wings Of My Lord” and “Framed, Lying, Crying,” would not be released in any form – until now. Also included is the previously unreleased “It Ain’t Over Til It’s Over” remix 12” (sides A and B) and an unissued five-song live EP recorded in Rotterdam during the Mama Said tour. Official live and studio B-sides are also included, completing the commemorative reissue of this epic classic album.

i think lenny would call his song “running from the rules” cause cinna plays by his own rules not the capitols

i think i accidently forgot to send my last comment so i will resend it now.
I think lenny considering the orgins of some of his other singles would title his song about Cinna somewhere along the lines of “Simple man, Creative hands.” I know it dosent say to explain our resoning behind why we believe Lenny would possibly use this title, but i feel as though for people to understand my idea for this title i have to explain.
I understand that Cinna is Katniss’ stylist but i think Lenny would look much deeper than that. Cinna is a very simple man, both in the way he acts and is preseved, but also in the ways he looks. Cinna is diffrent then the capitol citizens, he is not fake, but he is compassionate he disagrees with the hunger games and is against what it stands for. He use’s his creative mind and hands to show this that he is diffrent even if it means risking his life. Cinna transforms katniss into a weapon to bring down the capitol by using his talents and simplicity. Cinna is a capitol citizen by fault, he is the apidamy ofa simple man with creative hands.

If LK wrote a song about Cinna, it would totally be called “Complete Madman.”

Lenny could call his song, “I Chose” about why he wanted to be the stylist of District 12.
