The soundtrack for The Hunger Games film, Songs from District 12 and Beyond, which was released in conjunction with the film’s debut in March has now been certified Gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). To achieve “Gold” status an album must sell more than 500,000 copies, and thanks to strong sales the soundtrack was able to achieve this in just one month.
Congratulations to Lionsgate, T. Bone Burnett, and all of the album’s featured artists.
Are you among the 500,000 that purchased Songs from District 12 and Beyond? Let us know in the comments.
