Jennifer Lawrence has become an inspiration for many Hunger Games fans for her onscreen performance as heroine Katniss
Everdeen, but, as omg! is now reporting, she’s also a role model for other women in Hollywood working to navigate the tricky terrain of stardom. Emma Stone who will become a part of the super-popular (and super-critical) Marvel fandom as she tackles the role of Spiderman’s love interest, Gwen Stacy, this summer, cites Jennifer Lawrence as the reason she found the courage to take on the life-altering role:
“I love Jennifer Lawrence and I watched a lot of her interviews for ‘Hunger Games’ — it was kind of the same thing she was feeling,” the actress told Access Hollywood’s Scott Mantz at “The Amazing Spider-Man” junket in New York on Saturday, referencing Jennifer’s publicized trepidation toward taking on Katniss Everdeen. “What scared me was the idea of, ‘What could happen to my life after doing something like this?’
“But the part and the process outweighed that fear,” Emma continued. “It felt like a stupid reason to not be part of this — what might happen [and] how [my] life could change didn’t feel like enough of a reason to not play Gwen, not to get to be involved with this and not to get to act with Andrew or to get to tell the story in a different way.”

Fans will remember that it took Jennifer three days to weigh out the pros and cons of taking the role of Katniss Everdeen, and after her announcement she was subject to a fair amount of fan criticism because of her blond locks and fair skin. However, now that we’re living in a post- Hunger Games world, could you imagine anyone else bringing Ms. Everdeen to life?
