8/14/2012DVD/Blu-ray, Jackie EmersonAldrin

You would think with all the work Jackie Emerson put into portraying Foxface, she’d know everything there is to know about The Hunger Games. However, according to MTV, there was a lot about the movie that she didn’t know until she watched the special features, set to be released on August 18. Emerson mentioned that there was a lot that she didn’t know about, such as the editing process or working with CGI. She also mentioned a specific bonus feature that she’s especially looking forward to.
“The Target version of the DVD actually has all of the tribute stuff on it,” she explained. “It has the tribute diaries where we all had flip cameras, and basically in the three weeks leading up to the premiere, we’d do videos whenever we hung out and at press tour and stuff like that. There are also videos of all of us hanging out together and casting the tributes and a photo album, so it was really fun to watch that. It was kind of like a mini-documentary of my summer. I can’t wait for fans to see that because I think they’re really going to enjoy it.”
At the special feature screening in the Lionsgate offices a couple weekends ago, Emerson mentioned that the Tribute Diaries are very funny. A little something to note if you’re deciding where to buy, as Target has exclusive access to those diaries. Finally, Emerson spoke about how close the Tributes have stayed together, even after the movie.
“We talk all the time,” Jackie said. “Even when people are out of town, we talk a ton, and when people are in town, we go out to dinner. My birthday is on the 21st, and I think we’re actually going to do a birthday thing with a bunch of friends from ‘The Hunger Games.’ We always just have a blast together. We’re best friends. We’re a family, and we’re never going to lose that because we have that connection.”
