Video: Francis Lawrence and Lionsgate Announce Contest to Win a ‘Catching Fire’ Set Visit

On the first day of Catching Fire Production, Director Francis Lawrence and Lionsgate have announced a contest where fans from around the world will have the opportunity to visit the set of the film!

Got a question for the cast of THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE? Submit your video & be entered to win a trip to set, take in the sites & sounds of production, hang out with fans from across the world & you may even get the chance to ask your question in person!

Lionsgate also announces a global set visit sweepstakes. “THE HUNGER GAMES: CATCHING FIRE- Win a Trip to Set” will run September 10th through October 12th 2012, offering twelve lucky fans a chance to visit the set of the film and interact the with cast and crew. To enter, fans based in the participating territories (the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Australia, Germany, France, Scandinavia, Russia, Israel, and Japan) will upload a :30 second video of their top question for the film’s cast. Additionally, “virtual” citizens of Panem will be able to enter by playing The Hunger Games Adventures – one of the top adventure games on Facebook and coming soon to iPad. Full rules and regulations are posted on the contest Facebook tab, and at www.catchingfiresweeps.com.

UPDATE: There are several different contests for various countries around the world, including US, UK, Canada, Australia, Italy, France, Germany, Scandinavia, Russia and Japan.  At the top of the CatchingFireSweeps page be sure to click on the country you are from, as the main link defaults to the US contest. If your locations contest does not seem to be Live yet, keep checking back, as you have until October 12th to enter.

(Note: There is also a link at the top to “enter through The Hunger Games Adventures game which involves the upcoming version for the iPad and not the Facebook version.)

Each countries contest appears to have different terms and conditions.  For the US contest entrants must be 13 years or older.  Be sure to check out your countries rules upon entering.

One final note, the set visit is at the moment scheduled sometime between November 7 – 11, 2012, but that is subject to change if necessary.
