Last year I went to theater alone. This year, since I’ve discovered other friends who are also fans, I plan to have a group outing to see an early evening viewing of Catching Fire and then go out to discuss movie and dissect every. little. thing. But you won’t catch me at a midnight viewing… I’m planning this for the following weekend when I can be fully awake to enjoy it.

I was still reading the books when The Hunger Games came out, so I never saw it in theatres, instead I rented it and watched it with my best friend. This year we are going to the theatre and going to rent it if it is good! And of course it will be amazing, its the Hunger Games trilogy we are talking about!!

I was recovering from surgery when the film came out and couldn’t sit up for a 2 hour movie, so I bought the first book and read it in early April. On Friday May 4 (I still remember the date, being a true fan) I saw the movie, loved it, and immediately read the other 2 books in the series. I’ve read book one about 5 times now. Lost count.
Not planning anything special for Catching Fire. I’ll see it when I can. I’m in a relationship now with a woman who doesn’t like violent entertainment.

Last year I haven’t been such a big fan. I wanted to see it with some friends of mine, but I slept in and was too late. But I saw it nevertheless later in the evening then.
Now I am a big fan and CF will be released at my birthday so I will spend it in the cinema. Hopefully finding a way to the Premiere- maybe even with the actors. That would be the best birthday present ever.

Last year I saw the movie early in the morning because I didn’t want to go to the midnight premiere but I wanted to be some of the first people to see it. I couldn’t help myself and went to see it again the next day
. This year for Catching Fire I am going to try to make it to the midnight showing!

I hadn’t really shown interest for the film a year ago but my father told me that he read it was really good, so we decided to go watch it… When the movie was over, i was completely hooked with the movie and since i heard that it was a saga of books, the next day i went ahead and bought The Hunger Games… I BECAME OBSESSED!
Now, for Catching Fire, I’m planning to go to the movies with my friends the day it comes out (but not to the midnight showing) and just enjoy how the film comes out… Though i think i’ll have to take tissues because i know i’ll cry in a few parts…

I had not read the books nor been apart of the Hunger Games fandom but I took a chance and went to see it a year ago tonight. I loved the movie and Jennifer Lawrence’s performance was magical to me. Since then, I went on to see the movie over 45 times in theatres, read the books 3 times, follow social media on the Hunger Games every day and well, will be a Jennifer Lawrence fan forever.
I plan to fly to LA to be at the red carpet for the Catching Fire World Premier.

I read the first Hunger Games book shortly after seeing the movie trailer in late Feb of 2012. By the time I had finished the first book, I had my Mom, lil’sis, and my older sister and her family all hooked on HG. It was so hilarious, we would all stand around and talk about every single chapter and were like, “Well what part at you at?” “Oh my gosh” “NO! I can’t tell you what happens!” Soon after, my brother-in-law and niece got hooked as well. We all went together to see it in theaters the week after the movie came out to miss the crowds. I still have my movie tickets!
I would like to go to a midnight showing of Catching Fire so I could dress up as a character!

I had been out of school for a week because I got sick. I wasn’t planning on going because of being sick and that I thought the midnight showing was sold out. My dad came home from work and showed me two tickets to see it in an Imax theater. When I was sitting in line for three hours in the cold, I reread the first book so it was fresh in my mind. Sadly I regret doing that because I wasn’t feeling well. CF is out on my birthday so I am planning to see it opening night. But no Imax.

I had a huge lead up to the movie, after being a fan of the books since the first one came out. At milestone days in thé countdown me and some friends would have parties, host reapings and do various other HG related things. On the night of the 22nd, we all came to my house and had a huge party with home baked, Peeta-style bread, a huge pot full of lamb stew and many other things purely from the Unofficial Hunger Games Cookbook by Emily Ansara Baines (seriously, check it out). We had the soundtrack playing. There were 12 of us, so we each dressed up as a tribute from each district- I was district 7 so I made a vest out of wood-inspired fabric and some brown pants with stripes of a foresty fabric. I also had hunting/lumberjack boots and a wooden brooch as my district token.
After the party, we all caught the train to Penrith and made our way to the Hoyt’s cinema, where we picked up our tickets. There were lots of other die-hard hunger games fans there, since it was the premiere, and it was really nice to meet up with some other fans. I remember that there was this girl named Rachel who was really nice and we ended up having tickets in the row behind her, which was good.
I won’t go into detail about thé movie, I’ll just say that by the end we were all crying and we stayed until the end of the credits singing abrahams daughter and safe and sound. Then, since it was like 3:30am (we weren’t tired at all xD) we all went to my friends cousins house since she lived right across from thé theatre.
The next day, we saw it again at around midday- after that I waited until the last showing in the cinemas to see it for the third time
I was lucky enough to be on a long overseas plane flight in June, and they had the movie on the entertainment systems, months before the DVD release. I took advantage of this and watched the movie 8 times on the way there and 6 on thé way back xD

Last year me and a friend went to the first showing after school, and we found some other friends while we were there
She forgot her money though, so I had to pay for her, so I’m gonna get her the pay when we go to see Catching Fire. It’s only fair
