RUMOR ALERT: Catching Fire and Mockingjay Filming Plans

Even though filming for Catching Fire has shifted to Georgia and Hawaii, North Carolina reported, Russ Bowen, continues to be one of the best sources for new rumors concerning the future of the series. In two tweets posted to his twitter account yesterday, Russ reported that Lionsgate isn’t quite done with the sequel, but that that hasn’t slowed down plans to begin production on the third film in the franchise later this year:
While we do know that Katniss and crew are heading back to Hawaii to finish up some of the arena work for Catching Fire, no news of filming in LA or of the film’s budget have come to light as of yet. We’ve heard nothing aboutMockingjay: Part 1, with the exception that the script has been completed. So please take both tweets with a HUGE grain of salt!

I’m wondering about Mokingjay casting. The casting for Boggs and Coin, IMHO, will be especially challenging. As for the script, Mockingjay was the weakest book in the trilogy, and therefore for the script to be any good it’ll have to be the least like the book.

Actually I believe that although Mockingjay might have been the weakest it’s more because it spend a lot of time being descriptive of a lot of technology and war; which is better for the big screen.

I’m just wondering when Jennifer will have the time to shoot the new x-men movie? I thought that shoot was supposed to start in February but it was award season then…

Wow July?!!!? They’re such a hardworking team, I don’t really care what they change/add in Mockingjay.. I hope they tell what avoxes and have that beautiful mockingjay scene

I am sure they will cast well for Mockingjay. Boggs and Coin should be exciting! J-Law will be busy this year. Serena promo, David O Russel film about FBI/congress to be filmed. X men, and Mockingjay. David O Russel films are shot in a short period of time usually. I don’t think she has a huge part in X-men. MockingJay will take some time but that should blend right in with the promo of catching fire film in November. So much going on but its a job right? She can do it.
