Question of the Week #30: Birthdays, Presents, Contests & Prizes
May 8th
Time for a new Question of the Week…but this one has an added twist. It may be Katniss’ birthday, (May 8th), but we’ve decided to let you in on the presents. By answering this week’s question (and being a bit creative at it too), you will be entered for a chance to win a Hunger Games prize!
Entry Details:
- Post a comment below answering this week’s question (be sure to use a valid email address so that we can contact you if you win).
- Creativity counts! So, be sure to think about your answer, and give a well thought out reason why you answered as you did.
- Winners will be chosen by a celebrity duo of judges, Adam Spunberg and Savanna New hosts of the Hunger Games Fireside Chat. They will be reading through all comments submitted before the deadline, and selecting the winners from among them.
- Contest is open to everyone, including our international readers.
- Only one entry per person.
- Contest ends on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at 9:00 p,m ET
- Winners will be announced on Tuesday, May 15, 2012, to allow our panel time to read and consider all valid entries.
So, now that the rules have been established, what is up for grabs?
- First Place, will receive a prize pack including: Hunger Games trading cards, a movie cup (straight from the world premiere), a Katniss bookmark, and a Mockingjay pin.
- Second and Third Place will each receive Hunger Games trading cards and a movie cup (from the world premiere)

It’s Katniss’ birthday, and all of Panem is celebrating! What would you give to The Girl on Fire as a gift for her special day, AND why would you choose it?
Remember you can enter the contest only once, so be sure you have thought about your answer before submitting. You have until Sunday to enter, so no worries if you aren’t among the first entries. Creativity and reasoning are what count here.

In celebration of the Hunger Games releasing in 100 IMAX theaters for one more week, we will be running a contest in partnership with Lionsgate. To win (2) two free tickets to watch the Hunger Games in IMAX starting April 27th, simply tweet out the following tweet on Twitter:

Salute Rue with DWTC — Now a Contest!

Yesterday, we put out a call for pictures of Hunger Games fans doing the three finger salute in honor of Rue. We started to get so many pictures, that we decided to kick things up a notch and make it into a giveaway! So in the spirit of honoring Rue, we’ve got some great Hunger Games goodies up for grabs: both the Thresh and Rue mini figurines from NECA, and The Hunger Games special issues of PEOPLE, Us Weekly, and EW.
Here’s what you need to do to enter:
1. Email a picture of yourself ‘saluting Rue’ to SaluteRueDWTC@gmail.com
2. Fill out the form below (only one entry per person for this contest).
It’s as easy as that!

Do you live in the Chicago area and want to see the Hunger Games in IMAX on March 23rd? We are giving away 2 sets of (2) IMAX Hunger Games tickets for the 7:00 pm Friday, March 23rd showing at the AMC Loews Quarry Cinemas 14 in Chicago, IL.
