Elizabeth Banks chatted with Celebuzz at the premiere for her movie What To Expect When You’re Expecting about whether her character on the TV show 30 Rock will be back for the show’s final season.

“I don’t know,” Elizabeth said. “You know I’m on next week, we’re having our vow renewal ceremony as we introduced last week. We’ll see what happens next year. They’re going to have to wrap it up, and who knows where these characters are headed.”

TV Reminder: Catch Elizabeth Banks on 30 Rock and Letterman Tonight!

Just a reminder, Elizabeth Banks will be a guest tonight on The Late Show with David Letterman tonight, May 10, 2012. The show begins at approximately 11:35 pm on CBS. We expect she is scheduled to talk about her upcoming film What to Expect When You’re Expecting which will be released next Friday. Here’s hoping Dave sneaks in a Hunger Games mention in there somewhere too.

But before Elizabeth sits down to talk with Letterman, be sure to tune into 30 Rock tonight, where Elizabeth’s character Avery Jessup will make her return appearance on the show.

Episode Synopsis: AVERY (GUEST STAR ELIZABETH BANKS) FINALLY RETURNS HOME FROM NORTH KOREA, BUT JACK (ALEC BALDWIN) QUESTIONS HER FIDELITY OVERSEAS. Jack (Baldwin) suspects Avery is hiding something when she is seemingly unmoved by news of his indiscretions. Meanwhile, Liz (Tina Fey) embraces her role as breadwinner much to Criss’s (James Marsden) chagrin. Tracy (Tracy Morgan) and Kenneth (Jack McBrayer) try to help Jenna (Jane Krakowski) find a sponsor for her upcoming wedding

When 30 Rock fans last heard of Avery Jessup, Elizabeth Banks character on the show, she was being detained in North Korea and married against her will to Kim Jong-un. But it looks like somehow, someway Jessup is going to be making her way back to the States, as TV Line has learned Banks character will return to the show during May sweeps.
