‘Hunger Games’ Cast Members to Attend Walmart Midnight Release Parties

Certain Hunger Games cast members will attend Wal-Mart midnight release parties starting at 11 p.m. on Friday, August 17! In addition to the midnight party release fun, fans will also be able to access never-before-seen interviews and behind-the-scenes footage on Walmart’s Facebook page: www.facebook.com/walmart.

Check out what fans can find at the parties:

District Parties featuring special giveaways, movie trivia and the opportunity to win exclusive The Hunger Games prizes
Fans who purchase the DVD at midnight will receive a special pack of collectible The Hunger Games trading cards, while supplies last. A select number of random packs will include an autographed card from one of the cast members.
Customers who prefer to pre-order The Hunger Games 2-disc Blu-ray or DVD online at Walmart.com prior to the movie’s release on August 18 will have a chance to win a trip to Los Angeles to attend The Hunger Games: Catching Fire premiere or other exclusive prizes.
In select stores, fans will have the opportunity to meet as yet to be determined cast members:

Lionsgate Auctioning off Signed Comic Con ‘Hunger Games’ Poster for Charity

Lionsgate has placed an autographed exclusive Comic Con Hunger Games DVD/Blu-ray poster up for auction on ebay. 100% of the proceeds of the sale of the poster signed by cast members Dayo Okeniyi, Amandla Stenberg, Willow Shields, Jack Quaid and Alexander Ludwig go to support the Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation.

LIONSGATE is auctioning off a final poster from THE HUNGER GAMES signed at San Diego Comic Con 2012 by Alexander Ludwig, Dayo Okeniyi, Amandla Stenberg, Jack Quaid, and Willow Shields and a San Diego Comic Con 2011 Hunger Games Mockingjay pin benefiting The Elizabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation. The winning bidder will receive the studio certified poster and pin with a signed letter from Erika Schimik, SVP, Theatrical Marketing verifying their authenticity. Auctions begin today and will end July 25th, 2012 . Interested fans and collectors should be aware there are only a limited amount of posters available. Please note that 100% of the proceeds, including $9.99 shipping costs goes to The Elizabeth Glaeser Pediatric Aids Foundation. Lionsgate is responsible for poster shipping. While attending Comic Con, Amandla Stenberg, Willow Shields, Jack Quaid, Alexander Ludwig and Dayo Okeniyi had a chance to sit down and talk Hunger Games with Entertainment Weekly. In addition to discussing their favorite scenes from the film, they talk bonding, Willow answers questions about Catching Fire and the cast discusses their chances in a zombie apocalypse.
