Is Catching Fire‘s presence being made known in Atlanta? According to On Location Vacations, signs bearing the markings GGX have popped up around the Georgia Dome.
From OLV:
One of our Twitter followers, @Cre8iveone, spotted the sign above for “GGX” outside the Georgia Dome. Interestingly, according to a listing on Georgia.org, crew members applying for jobs on the upcoming feature film The Idiom (which is believed to be the working title for Catching Fire) are to send their resumes to ggxproductions@gmail.com Coincidence? Probably not.
The yellow signs with a movie’s “code name” on them are usually posted to help cast and crew find the exact filming location where they need to report.
Last month, we too heard from a source that GGX could indicate Catching Fire filming, though it was still unclear at that time whether the two were connected for sure. Pairing that information with the details on georgia.org about the Lionsgate production, Idiom (the rumored working title for Catching Fire) and it seems our source was definitely on the right track.
Now, despite the fact that these signs have popped up, this does not mean that filming is all ready taking place. All signs still indicate a September start for that, but this could be for set building, extras casting, training, or any number of pre-production activities for the film. No matter what, it’s still very exciting to see!
